Trophy Room

[Draco Malfoy]

Hogwarts has a trophy room where all the old awards, trophies, statues, cups, plates, shields, and medals are kept in crystal display cases. There is also a list of all the head boys and girls. It's adjacent to a long gallery full of suits of armor (PS9, CS7, CS13). Peeves likes to bounce around the trophy room (PA10, GF25).

Draco stood in the trophy room looking at all of the various plaques and awards and thinking of how pointless they all were now.

Blaise walks into the trophy hall absently thinking about the changes going around and what they meant for him. He pulls up short noticing Draco. "Hi, mate,"he says with a tilt of his head.

[Draco Malfoy]

The blond pulled his gaze from a quidditch award for James Potter and blinked, seeing Blaise he offered a small smile "Hey... how's it going?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Same as always," Blaise says lightly. "What about you? Trying to get away from others as well? If you want I can go."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Nah, one in particular," Draco said shooting his mate a dry look. "I heard Aunt Bellatrix was lurking so I'm hiding here until she goes away. Two people riding my arse is enough for me, don't want to add a third... what about you? Did you come here for alone time or just the unrestrainable urge to look at trophies?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Both the dorm room and common room were to crowded," Blaise says with a flick of his wrist. "To answer your question more fully I just wanted quiet to think, not to be a lone."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Ahh, then..." the blond mimed zipping his lips.

[Saka (M.H.)]

Blaise chuckles as he runs his finger along the shelving frowning at the dust on his finger, "Does anyone dust these things,"he groans. "It is positively disgusting."

[Draco Malfoy]

"I'm quite sure it's far from the Headmasters list of things to do, and from what I know Flitch has been hiding out since the Carrows started roaming the halls," Draco replied blowing some dust away as well.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Probably," Blaise says distractedly. "Filch has always been a disgrace to the school though."

[Draco Malfoy]

"True, but he's better than some of the other filth the old man use to let into the building," he muttered, thinking of the huge COMC grounds keeper.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"True," Blaise says with a nod of his head. "At least Snape should be better."

Blaise looks down at the floor a slight look of contemplation lighting his face.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco nodded in agreement before looking at his mate curiously "What's wrong?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

"Nothing's wrong, really,_" Blaise says with a shrug. "More like I have to talk my way out of something."

Draco rose a curious brow "What?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

Blaise considers the blond for a few moments before making a decision. "Have you ever had feelings for someone that were unacceptable? I don't mean anything about last year or that this is more important then whatever you are dealing with."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Like... what *kind* of feelings?" Draco asked with a confused frown.

Blaise knows he would be biting his lip if he did that sort of thing, this is an embarrassing conversation. "Remember in the common room, when Daphne asked if I was interested in someone?". Blaise makes to pull his wand out just to have something in his hands before dropping his hand without pulling it out. He knows that at the end of this conversation he will deserve whatever Draco decides to do.

"Yes..." Draco said slowly studying him. "What about it?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

"It started right before the end of term, I thought I would get over it during the summer... but I was wrong, they only grew," Blaise says turning his gaze to the floor and studying a crack there. "I know nothing can come of them; but I can't help it. I think, no I know, I am developing feelings for Daphne beyond those of friendship.". He finally turns his eyes back to Draco ready for what ever his mate has in store for him.

Draco rose a brow and offered a small smile "So you're finally ready to admit it?"

[Saka (M.H.)]

"What?" Blaise asks his friend in disbelief, he had expected many things, this easy acceptance was not one of them however. "That's all your going to say?"

[Draco Malfoy]

"Blaise... I was in the common room with you remember? I teased you silently? Got Daph to share your shoulder... don't tell me you're that smitten you don't remember," Draco replied. "I figured it out almost instantly."

[Saka (M.H.)]

"I remember," Blaise comments with a sigh. "I just... what if I screw up? I don't want to hurt her. This could ruin everything."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Well... what makes you think you'll hurt her?" Draco asked after a moment's consideration.

[Saka (M.H.)]

"If things do not work out," Blaise says with a shrug. "It is better to admire her from a far then make her feel she has to return my feelings. We are still friends just as we have been since first year."

[Draco Malfoy]

"Well... did you want me to feel her out? See if she's interested?" Draco asked with a slight frown.

[Saka (M.H.)]

Blaise considers this for a moment before shrugging. "You already have so many things on your plate, I couldn't ask you to do that." Blaise says with a sigh. He was hoping Draco would talk him out of this, tell him how sentimental he was being, maybe even tease him about these feelings not actually offer to help him.
